Please be advised that I will be vacating my rental home when my lease expires. In accordance with my lease, I agree to pay the rent through the termination date of the lease or, if I am occupying my home as a month-to-month tenant, I agree to pay rent through the last day of the month in which I remain in the home. I also agree to:

  1. Vacate the rental home by the date below;
  2. Turn in all home, mailbox, and shed keys to the resident manager by the date below;
  3. Leave the rental home in good condition, reasonable wear and tear excepted, as provided by the lease;

Provided that I have complied with all of the terms outlined above, my security deposit will be refunded to me within the legally permitted time frame.

I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT IF I AM VACATING BEFORE THE EXPIRATION DATE OF MY LEASE, I WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO A SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUND.

Note: A security deposit is used to guarantee performance under the lease. It may not be used to cover the last month’s rent. If the last rent payment is not received by the 10th of the month, legal action will be taken and the tenant will be held responsible for any legal fees incurred. Such collection actions will be reported to the appropriate Credit Bureaus and may reflect upon the tenant’s credit rating.
